Agenda Item 2. Charter is being reviewed with various parties being consulted. Will be re-issued April 2012.
Agenda Item 3. Presentation from Gloucestershire First & GRCC about ”Borders Broadband”.
Target is 2mb minimum for all County by 2015 & 30mbs by end of 2018. Currently nearly 20% can’t achieve 2mbs.
Survey is currently underway. I have arranged for Questionnaires and will try & distribute them.
Three & half thousand replies to date.
Business Survey being promoted online.
Survey continues to end of January 2012.
Contract will be awarded by end of May 2012, with work underway from then.

Agenda Item 4. Jubilee Celebrations. (Gloucestershire Fire Service).
“Big Lunch” in the Community will be Picnics and Street Parties on 3 June. GCC will support & encourage. (What do we want to do in N Nibley?)
Beacons are organised for 4 June. This date is immovable and a time will be allocated for us to light up. N Nibley is one of 26 confirmed for the County. The County has signed up to 36.
Fire Service have concerns about the safety issues. We must pay close attention to the Guidance. June is likely to be a dry and hot month.
Fire Service will work with us to advise on locations and control.
There will be further Jubilee events throughout 2012.
Agenda Item 5. Gloucestershire Highways.
Grit bins have been filled.
That evening was the fourth “run” of grit spreading. Last year by same date there had been 23.
“Runs” are triggered by road temperatures using information from sensors.
Already sent out 5,500 tons of salt to communities.
51 parishes have bought hand spreaders. (Price to parishes £101).
