The Parish Plan: Update for Parish Meeting 2011

The Parish Plan was successfully completed and distributed to all households in the Parish last December. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the contributors for their commitment and hard work.

Some of the actions in the plan have already been completed, some are ongoing and others require taking forward by individuals and groups within the Parish.

The actions set out in the plan are not set in concrete. Each one is up for discussion.

Each action was assigned a target date which is not meant to be a deadline.

The actions and progress need to be reviewed regularly and the annual parish meeting is an ideal opportunity.

The actions are suggestions on how to deal with the particular concern highlighted by the parish survey. Each group indicated in the ‘By’ column should decide whether they are the appropriate organisation to be responsible for finding a solution. The actions are only suggestions. It is up to each group to re-interpret the actions and work towards a solution, in cooperation with other parties as appropriate.

As part of my contribution, I hope to prepare some leaflets as a guide to the footpaths. Some residents have already shown an interest in helping with the task.

Parish Plans are supposed to be updated every few years.
