The 6th North Nibley Scarecrow Festival

It's back, and to be successful we really need lots and lots of scarecrows around the village so please join in the fun and make your own. OPTIONAL theme of 'The British Seaside'. Visiting scarecrows welcome. Any queries contact Theresa Eames, ph 546 447.
FRIDAY SEPT 20th
3pm to 7pm Village Hall. SCARECROW MAKING SESSION Not sure how to make a scarecrow? need some straw? or just want to create and chat (adults can bring a bottle). We will have straw as well as some clothes and tights etc, but best to bring your own and spares to share. Nachos & refreshments for sale.
A gold coin donation to cover costs would be appreciated.
SATURDAY SEPT 21st
Make sure your scarecrow is out.
9am to 5pm Village Shop: Especially open all day for hot and cold drinks, ice creams and snacks. Also a stall selling plants, books etc.
BBQ Lunch outside the Village Hall (weather permitting). Proceeds to hall.
From 2pm Afternoon Tea in Village Hall. Proceeds to Pre school.
SUNDAY SEPT 22nd
From 11am Village Hall: Teas, Homemade Cakes and Light Lunches. The much awaited Auction of the Brian Lancaster Collection' Proceeds to Village Shop.
From 2pm Afternoon Tea at Nibley House.
For the Scarecrow making session on Friday 20th at the Village Hall.
Donations of old clothes, hats, tights, bean sticks, props (especially with a beech theme)
Please drop off at 26 Barrs Lane or take to hall on Friday 20th
Scarecrow making tip: No straw? use plastic bags, bubble wrap, old sheets etc. Dry and reuse next year.
